Hardware and Infrastructure Support Technician
Job ID #

To support our growing customer base, we are looking to hire a number of 2nd line support technicians to improve the level of excellent support we already provide.

You will be the representative for our company for clients seeking technical support with a prime focus on supporting client hardware and infrastructure where an onsite visit may be required to support the customer.

AspiraCloud is a small but growing tech company who punches well above its weight in terms of customer satisfaction, retention and the services we provide. We like to form a partnership with customers that can, and do, last for years.  Our support so far has been largely focused on a remote, cloud first approach but we are keen to see our range of support services increase by what you can offer.

We have a great reputation with our customers and partners, and it will always be an important part of the way we operate to maintain and build on that. AspiraCloud is a Microsoft Partner with a focus on Modern Desktop and operate exclusively with enabling customers to use the Microsoft product stack.

If you,

  • are used to using your initiative,
  • are comfortable talking to customers,
  • enjoy travel, (UK only) with a full and clean driving license
  • are enthusiastic and technically leaning,
  • able to work independently from home, without direct supervision,
  • comfortable with the concepts of networks and hardware,
  • interested in learning more about Microsoft 365 and Azure.

then show us what you’ve got and let’s talk.

We are not looking for the fully trained expert, nor Cisco qualifications to cover a wall, but you absolutely must be interested in:

  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Azure
  • Microsoft Intune (MEPM)
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Customer relations and customer services
  • Knowledge of Ubiquiti Unifi is a distinct advantage

You will work from home some of the time, but just as likely to travel onsite to a clientMuch of your day will be spent in front of a computer or speaking to people directly, so your communication skills will be just as important as your current tech skill level. There is likely to be quite a bit of travel involved.

What will you get from us?

  • A good salary based on your experience, with paid holiday entitlement and a pension contribution.
  • The chance to work with the latest and greatest technology.
  • Training as required and opportunities to grow in the role.
  • The chance for the right person to progress if the want to or simply be the best at what you currently do.
  • Paid time (up to 3 days a year) to complete self-directed activities to protect and improve your mental health.

What will the job involve?

  • Answering telephone calls or responding to support emails from customers requiring technical support.
  • Using our online, customer facing support ticket system
  • Working as part of an established support team and feeding back to the Support Lead
  • Triaging those requests requiring escalation and deciding if the request needs to be dealt with remotely or onsite
  • Building effective customer rapport in order to identify future opportunities
  • A repair service for technical requests not suitable for escalation
  • Time recording and record keeping
  • Communicating with Customers and team members to keep relevant parties informed of the status of their request
  • Although home based there may be a significant amount of onsite work required to support a client’s needs. This could require mobilisation within an agreed territory at relatively short notice or an overnight stay at the company’s expense.  We would anticipate an average 60/40 split between travel and home office based work.

This a full-time role on a permanent contract, subject to a three-month probationary period.

Salary is £23,500.00 to £28,000.00 /year based on experience and fit. Reasonable expenses would be repaid whilst travelling.
